Tata Power-DDL wins the prestigious Deming Prize 2024

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, a pioneering power utility supplying electricity to a populace of 7 million in North Delhi, wins ‘Deming Prize 2024’ in recognition of its Total Quality Management (TQM) practices.
The award ceremony to felicitate the winners will take place in November 2024. Tata Power-DDL has been on the TQM journey for over six years towards becoming a global benchmark.
With this recognition, the company has set the benchmark of being the First Power Distribution Company in the world to achieve this feat. The award reflects Tata Power-DDL’s commitment to strive towards achieving customer service excellence through continuous improvement and total employee involvement in line with the Tata Legacy. The TQM practices have enabled the transformation of the processes and elevated the business performance to benchmark levels.
The Deming Prize is one of the highest awards on TQM in the world. It was established in 1951 in commemoration of late Dr. William Edwards Deming who helped Japan build its foundation post World War-II by which the level of Japan’s product quality has been recognised as the highest in the world.
